Come visit Olympia Area Rowing (OAR) at Swantown Marina and have a go rowing!
US Rowing hosts National Learn to Row Day every year and this year, we are joining in! Come on down to get a taste of rowing. It’s free and open to everyone over the age of 13. Sign up for your 1-hour spot using the link below before heading down to the boathouse!
This year’s event will be on Saturday, June 7th from 8 a.m. to noon.
Take a tour of our boathouse then learn the rowing stroke on an erg (an indoor rowing machine). Once you have mastered the stroke on land, hop in a boat, and row on Budd Inlet with other experienced rowers. Best of all, it’s free!
Come wearing close-fitting athletic clothes and bring a water bottle. Other recommended items are sunscreen, athletic shoes, sunglasses, and a hat.
Also print, sign and bring with you the following 2 completed documents for each participant. Show up ~15 minutes before your timeslot, and you’ll be all good to go!
